RYDEE Free Shipping Bar ("the app") is made by RYDEE. This policy explains what data the app uses when a Shopify merchant installs it, and what happens with it. Questions: hi@tomderuiter.com.

Data from your store

To work out and show the free shipping amounts, the app reads through Shopify's API:

your shop's ID, name, domain, currency, languages and markets;
your shipping rates (shipping profiles and zones) and your automatic free shipping discounts;
your app subscription (plan) with RYDEE.

The app stores your shop domain and the access token Shopify gives it on our server in the European Union (Germany). Your settings and the free shipping amounts it found are stored in your own Shopify store, as data that belongs to the app installation.

Data about your customers

The app doesn't collect, receive or store personal data of your customers. On your storefront, the app's script runs in the customer's browser: it reads the cart and product suggestions from your store through Shopify's own storefront endpoints, and sends nothing to our servers. It keeps one value in the browser's local storage to remember that the customer closed the bar. The app sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking.

Sharing

We don't sell or share data. Besides Shopify, only the hosting of our server processes the data described above.

Retention and deletion

When you uninstall the app, we delete your access token and shop domain right away, and Shopify deletes the app's data in your store. Anything left is deleted when Shopify asks us to after uninstalling (the shop redact request, 48 hours later). Customer data requests from Shopify are answered with "no data held", because the app holds none.

Your rights

You can ask us which data we hold about your store, and to correct or delete it, by emailing hi@tomderuiter.com. You can also complain to your data protection authority.

If this policy changes, we update this page and the date above.
